Overall this project was interesting and the most hands on project we've had since physics, which is by far the best way I learn. I took away from this project basically everything I know about forensics and genetics. I would have liked to learn a little more about the legal element because our group was definitely not prepared for presenting in front of a mock trial. We were very unsure about what was expected of us and when we asked Dr. LB it seemed as though she was not sure either, so a little more prepping would have made the project more realistic and fun. I feel like our group time managed really well because we knew how much we needed to do and when it was due and worked accordingly. I believe that we did all we could have done in regards to the evidence and proving our case although understanding the legal system like I mentioned before would have made our case a lot better. If I could do this over again I would have liked to have shown cold hard evidence, but I was not aware that we could. We treated this more like a regular presentation because we did not know exactly what was expected from the mock trial. As for this reflection I think it was assigned at an inconvinent time with a due date that was a little too soon given how stressed I am, and I'm sure most of the class is because of our test and finishing the study guide, especially since you left which makes me feel completely overwhelmed and terribly underprepared.
